Comprehensive Restoration for Complete Tooth Loss
Full mouth dental implants are most often the best restoration choice when missing all of your teeth or having severely decayed teeth or teeth with gum disease that are no longer functional. Full arch implants are used to restore an entire upper or lower arch of teeth in single or multiple units of implant-supported bridges. The implants are strategically placed throughout the arch to stimulate the jaw bone and support the new bridge of teeth.
Can I apply?
Many patients, including those who have been informed of insufficient bone for dental implants, can still undergo this procedure. By avoiding the sinuses and utilizing the strongest bone, a combination of straight and angled implants will be used by your doctor. This approach typically eliminates the necessity for costly and time-consuming sinus augmentation bone grafts. Your doctor will evaluate if All-On-4, also known as "Teeth in a Day," is suitable for you during your complimentary consultation
All-On-4 Procedure Schedule
The duration of the process varies depending on whether one or both arches (upper or lower) are being treated (full mouth). It typically takes 4-6 hours. Once the treatment is completed, your temporary bridge(s) will be firmly attached to the new implants. These temporary bridge(s) need to be worn for 4 months to allow for proper integration with the bone and healing of the jaws and gums. This healing time ensures that the final bridges fit as closely as possible. Once the healing is complete, the fabrication of the final bridge(s) will begin. This process involves multiple appointments over a span of 5-6 weeks to design the desired smile for your permanent teeth.
- The lab uses mouth impressions to create temporary implant bridges. If you are missing many teeth in the treated area, the doctor may recommend a wax try-in to assess bite position and aesthetics.
- The procedure involves extracting teeth (if necessary), inserting implants, and placing interim implant bridges. It typically takes 4-7 hours.
- After the procedure, please check the healing progress and ask any questions you have.
- At the appointment 3 weeks later, the sutures will be removed and the healing will be checked. You may start using a water flosser or WaterPik at this time.
- After 4 months, impressions will be taken for the final teeth.
- Within 5-10 days of taking impressions, you will receive a mock-up of your final teeth. Multiple wax try-ins may be needed to ensure your satisfaction. Changes cannot be made after the try-ins are processed, and a full-cost remake charge will apply if changes are requested after approval.
- Once you approve the wax try-in(s), it takes around 4-6 weeks to prepare your bridge(s) for seating.
